Advent is a special season in the church's liturgical year, as it is the time when we prepare for Christmas. It is alwaysa very special time in school to where we all wait and prepare together.
In school you will find a special focal point in each class draped with cloth, using the liturgical colour for the season of purple, a Crib scene, Advent calendars and an Advent wreath. In Early Years you will see the children playing in the crib role play area and with the small world Nativity set!!
The travelling crib makes its' way to each family in our school for a night and every class weekly worship focuses on the the relevant week of Advent where we light the candle/s on the wreath together.
