St Cuthbert's School Uniform
It is very important that your child is ready for school in lots of ways; one very important part of being ready for school is having the correct uniform. All children are here to learn and having correct school uniform helps children to remain focused and less distracted.
Nursery
Nursery children do not need to wear school uniform (although they are welcome to) they should wear comfortable, easy to manage clothes that they can manipulate themselves when going to the toilet etc. All children in Nursery should have spare clothes (including pants and socks) in school every day. Shoes should be comfortable and easy for your child to manage – NO laces
Reception – Year 4 School uniform
White polo shirt
Red school jumper or cardigan WITH the school badge
Red school hoodie WITH the school badge
Grey trousers / skirt / pinafore / shorts
Red & white checked dress/jumpsuit
Black school shoes – laces only if your child can tie laces otherwise Velcro is best.
Boots; in winter only.
PE uniform
Children can come to school in their PE kit on our designated PE day (check each term)
Red t-shirt this should be WITH the school badge
Black shorts – no football club emblem or other logo
Black jogging bottoms - no football club emblem or other logo
Trainers - laces only if your child can tie laces otherwise Velcro is best.
Earrings are NOT permitted for school
Black leggings are not permitted for school or PE
PLEASE ENSURE EVERY ITEM IS CLEARLY NAMED
It is very important your child follows the school rules, we are raising standards and this includes adhering to our uniform policy. It is an important part of our proud identity of being a St Cuthbert’s pupil.
Other information
No jewellery is permitted including earrings. If you wish to have your child's ear pierced then we advise you do so at the beginning of the summer holiday giving them time to heal before returning to school.
Long hair should be tied back every day and we discourage tram lines or other fashion haircuts.
Low heeled black shoes should be worn. Children will be outside in all weathers so please ensure your child has a warm/waterproof coat every day.
