We were very excited for the Scottish Book Trust to bring author Alan Windram to our school to meet all pupils from Nursery - Year 4 on Friday, as part of the Scottish Friendly Children’s Book Tour!!
The session was highly interactive, full of songs, images, stories and audience participation. There was even some robot dancing too!
Images from Alan's book 'One Button Benny' were displayed on screen and Alan demonstrated how Chloe, the illustrator, created the characters and the world of Benny.
The children loved seeing Alan's character development sketches and first draft drawings which really gave the children an insight into how all the characters were created.
After the event many children bought books and Alan kindly signed them too...
What an amazing experience!!
